Down seconds recorded a rare win in Junior 3 last Saturday when they defeated Armagh seconds.

The locals were able to field a full strength team for the first time in a number of weeks and played well throughout.

Armagh failed to find a way past a well organised Down defence led by Willie Price and despite the visitors dominating possession in the first half they had nothing to show for their efforts at the interval.

Down opened the scoring early in the second half when Jeremy McCready fired past the 'keeper and then Mark Graham was in the right place at the right time to double his side's advantage.

Gavin Ringland completed the scoring for the visitors who takes their points tally to four, but it won't be enough to save them from relegation.
