Down thirds may have lost this Junior 7 game, but it will be remembered for an absolutely breathtaking save by goalkeeper, Stuart Clydesdale.

The talented teenager seems certain to be shortly starring for the club's senior side after a stunning display against a very experienced outfit.

Not for the first time this season, Clydesdale showed he has what it takes and with youth on his side, he is an undoubted star of the future.

From the home side's point of view, it was a surprise the game was scoreless at the interval because it literally dominated proceedings.

Clydesdale was in superb form, with a brilliant stick save to keep the ball from nestling in the top of the corner of the net, the pick of his stops on the day.  So impressed were the Civil Service players with Stuart's save that they applauded to him to a man.

Down chances in the first half fell to Clifford Lennon and James Cunningham, but the locals never looked like scoring on the day.

This weekend they have a break from the rigours of the league when they play a first round game in the Strabane Cup.
